My year of 2008 is very boring and thank god, it's peaceful:

 1.  Starting with bad news, my office which I've been working for 17 years, is closing down by the end of this year.  In other words, I am un-employed!!

2.  Our original working crews has started a new business.....exciting about this, but also worries....

3.  Visitors from far:

         a.  My cousin and my nephew came in the summer and we had many gatherings with family.  We did have a good time.

         b.  An old high school classmate, that we've known for about 28 years, came visit us from Florida.... We had a really nice time boating with her and her family.

4.  Travels/trips:

        a.  June: Canada Vancouver/Beth/Lake Louise trip.  You can refer to my old blog for the details about this trip.

        b.  August: Had 2 trips, to San Francisco/Yosemite and to Las Vegas twice.

         c.  November: Hong Kong/Taiwan/China, most fantastic trip ever have and below are the highlites:

**First time using my HK ID card to enter Hong Kong.  First time that nobody could pick me up at the airport..... :( I arrived too early around 6 am, so I rather took a taxi home.

**HK was so hot in November and I could still wear short sleeve...

**Ate a lot of good traditional Hong Kong Food, such as 茶餐廳, 菠蘿油, 飲茶

**Went to bars in TST, experienced standing inside a -20 C "refrigerator" with a iced-cold freezing Volka on the hand and a "FUR" coat.  AND the important part was that we must finish the shot of VOLKA inside that REFRIGERATOR!!

**Finally went to Temple Street in Yau Ma Tai...... Haha, being a person who was born and grew up 1/3 of the time in Hong Kong, I should be ashamed about this...  this was the very first time I visited this place..... 

**Took a lot of buses....wow, I finally figure out and managed to read the sign at a bus stop.........

**I rode on the 昂坪 360 while I was scared of the heights, so I just took one way up, and came back down by a bus.....

**Finally got my 回鄉 card so I could go in and out of China much easier and faster..  I went twice for massage....  Had a great time!

**Bought a lot of clothes/jeans with very economic budget....

**Went to the airport at least 6 times in two weeks.....

 Overall, it was a really good trip.

4. US President vote: Haha, I have to give up voting this year, because I really don't know who to pick.  Result is now set.  I hope it will be a good outcome from OBAMA!

5.  Holiday Seasons:  I had a really "Silent Night" this year, sleep, eat, shop and movies.....

2008 will be ended in a few days.........Let's hope for the best for all of you and me!
